This Week in the Mixer Ep 1.12; Week 10 Recaps, mixer standings, NFL talk

- The fraud uses smoke and mirrors to win again

- Jake 116 vs Mason 168
- Zeke and Devante Adams did work for Jake tallying 37 and 21 points respectively
- Andy Dalton and Cam turn in poor to average QB performances
- Mason rides his QB1’s of Mitchell and Drew with a little Julio sprinkled in to a 7-3 record
- Jake drops to 5-5
- Zach 112 vs Jeff 146
- Brandin Cooks was the standout for Zach who scored 27 points on 10/100 and a rushing TD
- Not much happening from the rest of the squad
- Jeff rebounds nicely riding a 3-game losing streak
- CMC was the Panthers offense on TNF scoring 36 points 14/77/1 on the ground and 5/61/2TD’s in the air
- Both teams to 4-6
- Matt 145 vs Danny 134
- “Does Danny even have to play the rest of my team, or should I just let Eric Ebron beat him singlehandedly” – Matt Hale around 1130AM Sunday morning
- Words he’d regret heading into MNF
- Thanks to David Johnson, Wentz and Mariota, Danny held a 134-101 lead
- Matt’s hopes relied on Eli/OBJ stack again
- Hopes were answered, Eli connected with OBJ early for a TD on a ridiculous single-high safety defense formation in the redzone by the niner’s, and connected with another long TD in the second half that put Matt over the top
- Matt to 5-5 Danny to 2-8
- Anthony 180 vs Jess 123
- Melvin Gordon continues to be the star of Jess’s squad, scoring 27 points including a 60+yard house call
- Leaves Zach Ertz on the bench who scored 41 points???
- Anthony with double digit scores top to bottom highlighted by Tyreek’s 33, ARob’s 32 and TGIII 26
- The commish’ has low-key amassed one of the longest winning streaks in the history of the mixer with his seventh straight dub after losing the first 3 game
- Jess drops her 5th straight and now sits at 3-7

- Jess starts an inactive Chris Thompson (bold move)
- Aaron Rodgers and Melvin Gordon both get 20, but bigger days seemed to be possible for both players
- Matthew Stafford in true Stafford fashion put up 7 pts on the road in what appeared to be a possible shoot-out matchup
- Pretty mediocre day for most starters on the GAME, Fitzpatrick did some damage in garbage time ending with 26 pts
- Heading into the island game tilt with the Cowboys in primetime and 2 players to go, the GAME definitely was having some week 16, 2016 season flashbacks
- An early Cooper TD had those flashbacks intensifying
- Another force fed target of Cooper in the end zone that was intercepted would have been the difference maker, but Jess comes up short in this one.
- Game to 6-3, Jess drops to 3-6
- Sean 216 vs Mason 126
- Well… Sean’s defense only managed 1 point… so there’s that
- JULIO JONES scored a TD!!!
- Definitely the two most important takeaways from this game, Julio is in fact capable of scoring TD’s, and Sean is a fraud at picking defenses to start
- Sean is not back, not back at all
- Both teams to 6-3
- Zach 162 vs Danny 113
- Loser leaves town matchup
- Both teams entered feeling their backs were up against the wall propping up the floor of the league standings
- Zach: Deandre Hopkins turns his increased role into 100+ yards and a touchdown on a 27 point day
- Josh Gordon goes for 100 and a TD in a pats uniform for the first time 25 pts
- Danny: Keenan Allen and Greg Olsen party like it’s 2016 combining for 40 points
- Danny ultimately learns the hardway, don’t approach a cornered former Mixer champ while he’s frothing at the mouth for a win, as the Dorman ragdolls Danny
- Danny to 2-7, Zach stays alive at 4-5.
- Jake 112 vs Matt 84
- Championship game rematch
- Seems like one side of this contest usually forgets to show up, this time, both teams struggled
- Matt’s Qb’s made the game respectable, but big disappointments from BYE week fill-ins made for a tough Sunday for Matt
- Tarik Cohen szn may be coming to an end as Bear weather blows its way across Lake Michigan into the Windy City (1 pt for Cohen)
- Kirk Cousins tallied 8 for Jake (did he like it?)
- Kareem Hunt’s 33 carry Jake to a comfortable win as he climbs above .500 to 5-4, Matt drops to 4-5.
- Anthony 151 vs Jeff 145
- Huge days from Christian Mccaffrey, James Conner and Patrick Mahomes for Jeff as they total 31, 29, and 29 points respectively
- Not much happening for the rest of Jeff’s team this week
- Anthony rides Matt Ryan’s 31 points and a huge TE performance from George Kittle who dropped 21 on TNF to another win, his 6th straight
- If it were anyone else you’d almost feel bad, Jeff has lost some tight matchups this season, the loss puts him 1 better than Danny in the standings at 3-6.

- Mahomes, McCaffrey, and Conner do their parts totaling 88 points, while the rest of Jeff’s squad only manages to score 29 points.
- Mahome’s keeps his 4TD, 300+ streak alive for the third straight week in his 29pt day
- Somewhat of a return to form for Sean’s squad
- Kamara scores a rushing and receiving TD in his 26-point day
- Sean back in the win column for the first time since being called a fraud, moving to 5-3, Jeff stays below .500 at 3-5.
- Zach 139 vs Anthony 149
- Deandre Hopkins got Zach off to a decent start despite a shaky first half on TNF, reaching 26 points on 6/82/2td
- TGIII similarly shook off a shaky first half en route to his mandatory 30 pt quota, his slash line of 25/114/0 and 6/81/1 is truly from another era
- He could have walked in for another late TD but sat down at the 2-yard line. Bettors who had the over on this game and fantasy owners like Anthony were not impressed by Gurley’s heady move
- Zach entered MNF trailing 149-117 needing magic from Tom Brady and Josh Gordon
- Brady has an off night in Buffalo, and Josh Gordon has to serve a college ball-esque 1st quarter suspension
- Anthony’s lead holds saying you’re just a Dorman, Dorman, winning his 5th straight moving to 5-3, Zach to 3-5
- Jess 100 vs Matt 148 (Gardella Bowl)
- Was not a good sign for Jess when Deshaun Watson threw for 5 TD’s on barely 200 yards passing in a 32-point night that started the week off well for her lesser half
- OBJ and Russ both paid back their draft capital totaling over 20pts each
- Jess was hurting at RB with Melvin Gordon on BYE, as Chris Thompson and Alfred Morris tallied a combined 5 points
- Lone bright spot was Theilen who went for 100+ and a TD for the 5th straight, he now has 100+ in 8 straight games
- One to forget for Jess, Matt now on top at 4-4, Jess to 3-5.
- Danny 123 vs Jake 141
- Bad luck strikes again
- Jake leaves Will Fuller on the bench who has a huge TNF game
- Danny leaves AP and Chris Carson on the bench in favor of David Johnson and Mark Ingram, a 22-point difference
- Jake’s QB’s combine for 52 points, while Jameis gets benched for Danny as the nation is injected with a dose of Fitzmagic yet again
- Danny to 2-6, Jake to 4-4
- Rob 161 vs Mason 137 (Game of the Week)
- The game everyone circled on their calendar when the schedule dropped, coincidental it coincided with the Real Madrid/Barca Clasico? Maybe
- From the drop, things were looking good for the Game, as Kenyan Drake hit on TNF with a TD night, 1 through the air, 1 on the ground in an otherwise average night
- AB fell short of his predicted 3-TD performance only scoring 2 TD’s on a 25-point day
- For Mason, Stefon Digss, Mitchell, and Luck all went over 20 points keeping the matchup close
- Disappointment from Doug Martin and Alshon Jeffrey equate to Mason not being able to keep the pace with the Game
- The Tiger trio of Mixon/Boyd/Uzomah combine for 58 points (no thanks to Uzomah)

- Mason to 6-2, The Game to 5-3
